Venture Global Calcasieu Pass
We are commissioning a liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction and export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, south of the city of Lake Charles. The project site is at an ideal location on the Calcasieu Ship Channel at the mouth of the Gulf of America featuring deep-water access, proximity to plentiful gas supplies and ease of transport for buyers. Once complete, the plant is expected to export at least 10 MTPA of LNG.
Project Location
The 432 acre site is proximate to several major interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines and directly accesses the most attractive gas resource basins in North America.

A World-Class Investment Supporting Louisiana’s Industrial Base
Calcasieu Pass has invested billions of dollars in new facilities, equipment and labor. Calcasieu Pass has brought thousands of temporary and hundreds of permanent high paying jobs to southwestern Louisiana. In addition, the project’s exports support the balance of trade for the United States.

Local Jobs and Community Engagement
The design, engineering and construction of the project creates jobs and opportunities. The project created 130 direct jobs, 300 indirect jobs, and 2,100 construction jobs at peak construction, with high-quality, competitive salaries.
