VGCP – Coastal preservation and restoration

• To date, marsh creation and restoration activities have been initiated on approx. 136 acres.
• Much of this restoration has been accomplished by the beneficial placement of dredged material from the dredging of the terminal into the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge for marsh creation.
• To compensate for non-estuarine wetland losses, credits were purchased from agency approved mitigation banks.
• $40m worth of wetland mitigation credits to FULLY offset our projects’(cp, plaq & cp2) impacts on wetlands.
